Clinical examination
We ask for a full clinical examination according to i.e. KNMvD, AAEP or BEVA guidelines.
All remarks should be noted in the clinical report.

Radiographic examination A complete set of at least 20 x-rays must be made and assessed, accordance with the conditions below. The 4 extra x-rays are desired and therefore not required for values below € 25.000,= The assessment of any additional recording(s), outside the standard series, must be stated on the relevant inspection form.

X-rays can only be assessed if they are provided with a written assessment from a veterinarian and include a date, the horse’s identity details and a left and right indication.

The following recording directions must at least be present:

Navicular
a. DP 65 degrees; LM/ML recording 2
b. AP recording on podoblok 2
Please trim the feet and pack the frog groovers with i.e. Playdo

Fetlock frontlegs
a. DMPLO, DLPMO 4
b. LM 2
Please expose the palmar/plantar eminence of P1 on the obliques

Fetlock hindlegs
a. LM 2
b. DP 2 (desired not required)
Obliques whenever LM and DP are inconclusive for fragments

Hock
a. DP 2
b. LM 2
c. DMPLO 2

Stifle
a. PLDMO 20 degrees; 2
b. PA 2 (desired not required)

Additional photos for insured value from € 25,000

If the horse has an insured value from € 25,000.00, additional neck and back photos are also required for the Hippo 4 Stars cover.

The following recording direction must at least be present:

Neck
DS or SD views from occiput up until C7-Th1

Back
DS or SD views from Th 4-5 up until L3-4, including the ventral parts of the vertebral bodies from Th6-7 up until Th16-17
